I have been working as a therapist for the past 5 years, but have been working to help people for the past 15 years. I have a Master’s degree in clinical social work from Washington University in St. Louis. I have worked with teenagers who were placed in the juvenile justice system due to criminal charges, as well as teenagers struggling with suicidal ideations. Most of the teens I worked with in both settings had close exposure to addiction either through close family members or in their own journey and I always felt that if I could help the adults in their lives then the teens might have experienced an easier life journey. In 2024, I started working with adults struggling with addiction and mental health issues. I have worked in Detox and Residential levels of care as well as Partial Hospitalization Programing (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programing (IOP) prior to starting Dandelion Space PLLC's outpatient programing.
Generally I try to keep it light, engaging, and positive, but I’m not afraid to jump into those deep dark spaces with you. I have a focus on Mindfulness and Meditation and pull from a variety of evidence based therapy modalities in my sessions, including but not limited to DBT, TF-CBT, and MRT. My personal favorite modality is DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), but I also understand that not everyone meshes with this well and will adjust accordingly to whom I have in session.
I own a unicycle but I haven’t fully figured out how to ride it (yet). I am married and have 2 cats and three dogs and a lot of aquatic critters (fish, shrimp, frogs and snails). My favorite hobbies include being in nature and crafting
Born and raised in Memphis, TN, I am a committed social worker and community advocate with over 10 years of experience across multiple care settings—including hospice, inpatient psychiatry, crisis intervention, education (general population and special education), and outpatient programs. I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology (2011), a second Bachelor’s in Social Work with a concentration in Children, Adolescents, and Families (2014), and a Master’s in Social Work (2019). Currently trained in EMDR and on the path to LCSW licensure, I have a strong foundation in case management, clinical coordination, and de-escalation. I believe in meeting people where they are and walking alongside them as they navigate life’s challenges.
I tend to utilize motivational interviewing, strength based, brief solution based approach to life's problems I often say that my route to accomplishing tasks and goals mirrors my Enneagram type—an optimistic realist. I believe people deserve multiple options when making significant life changes, and I strive to meet them with encouragement, clarity, and real-time support. Whether it’s offering referrals, follow-up support, or simply being a steady point of contact, my goal is to help reduce stress and build pathways toward healing, growth, education, and empowerment.
I have 4 fur kiddos that love each other very much.
I love going to plays, movies, festivals, farmer’s markets, and any local activities in the communities.
Do not like ice cream nachos.
